Dresser Hill, Charlton, MA Spring 2008

I created this and never understood how it came from me. It's taken me two years, but now I know where this image came from.

I have been absent from the blog for a really long time, and let's face it, I'm just not a blogger. But I tried, am trying, and will continue to try. I'm posting this to let you know that I haven't stopped shooting. I have stopped developing, scanning, and sharing images. And the longer I wait, the harder it is to start again. But the rolls of film laying around is getting rather annoying, so the time is coming. They're squirreled away in various corners of my room. And hopefully they're all in my room. So in short, something is coming soon.

Uncle Henry Alternative

I was looking through my hard drive at all the pictures I had gathered to make a website with(what happened to that??) and found an alternative photo to the first photo I ever posted on this blog. I can see pieces of where I am now photographically in this photo. The first one I posted was so much more this is my Uncle Henry on the couch with a dog, what a nice portrait! This second one is natural. I also find this image to be sad and dark. The way he is in the frame is related more to how he feels in day to day life. "Whatever you do, don't get old."

show photos!

As promised, here are some photos from Thesis! I was very happy with how it all came out. Here are some photos of that little book you see on the table there. It was all hand printed and hand bound by yours truly. It was a learning experience, and now I will forever make good books. I am in LOVE with the material I covered it with. It's so nice and professional looking. The book contains 18 images, including the 6 that are on the wall. It'll be up in traina until the 17th, so you should check it out. :)

End of the semester.

Doorway, Fall 2008

I do have photos of the thesis show to put up. The opening was really great, and my review went well. For the show I made a book as well, and I thought it was really successful to my project. Now I am going to start moving on, entering shows, shooting wildly, and sometime scanning and making prints. A year ago, I would have liked to think that I was going to continue shooting, but I honestly didn't think after college I would. I didn't have it in me then. Now, what else could I see myself doing? I'm working on jpging my images, in order to create a website, woo! I'm genuinely excited for the near future. Maybe it's that having only one more thing to do, and about to graduate thing. :)

Show

I want to let you all know that I have a show up at Annie's Clark Brunch, on the corner of Downing St and Main St. They're all printed on transparencies in customized wood frames. It looks awesome so you should all go check it out :) She even wants three more! Hopefully she doesn't mind waiting until I get all my papers out of the way...

Smokey Fall 2008
Dudley, MA

I'm just going through all my images from last semester to chose images for the book I'm going to make about this whole series. It'll be nice to see it all together. I'm at a point where it feels like I've hardly made any photos for this series, I'll be glad when it's in book form. At first I didn't really want to make one, but now it feels like I absolutely have to.
